Worth Z Wait is an off-track thoroughbred who competes in hunter/jumpers with his owner, Chloe Laurent.

“I have known this horse since he was a scrawny 4-year-old racehorse. I was in my early 20s working at Canterbury Park for race trainer Gary Schere and inquired about purchasing a horse that was looking to retire. After looking at a couple and talking to my mother (we share a horse), Gary told me to go look at this one who just ran his last race a few weeks prior. After 3 starts and having his 3-year-old year off to grow up, his owners made the decision to retire him from racing. He retired sound as a 4-year-old. Zephyr Wind (now known as Z) ended up picking me to be his person. We will be celebrating our 9-year anniversary together this summer! We compete on the local hunter/jumper circuit in Minnesota. He’s won multiple division championships with myself and my mother Jean over the last couple of years.”
